Sandro Botticelli, Birth of Venus (detail), c. 1482

I have distinct memories of having a calender of Renaissance paintings when I was in or around the third grade, which included the Birth of Venus. I loved it so much that I kept it even when the year was over, and I probably still have it since I’m such a hoarder.
